About Me

I hold a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from UCLA and a Masters Degree in Counseling from California State University, Northridge. During my three years of graduate training I specialized in marriage, family and child counseling as well as helping people recover from PTSD.

I have intensive post-graduate training and experience working with survivors of childhood abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, addiction, teen issues, eating disorders, divorce and parenting.

I have twenty years of counseling experience working in clinics, private practices and hospital emergency departments in California and Oregon. I spent over seven years working in hospitals as a mental health crisis counselor, consultant to emergency department physicians, community crisis liaison, assistant supervisor and supervisor of a crisis team.

I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon (lic#C2726). I have lived abroad in Israel and Mexico, and have a well-developed sensitivity to cross-cultural issues. I currently live with my two teenage daughters in Eugene, Oregon. I love animals, reading, traveling and snorkeling.
